If your talking about the US. There is the House of Representatives, and the US Senate.
The houses are run by Democrats and Repbulicans since they are, have been and will likely be for a very long time the controling political parties. They even make the rules that for another political party to get involved in elections. Making it increasingly harder for an Independant or a smaller party to Run let alone win an election.
IF your not happy with how things are run now.. Dont Vote Republican or Democrat. They only way to move more towards a true democracy is to vote for another party canadate or an independant. Vote Libertarian, or Green Party, or Independant. Vistit the Libertarian Party Website or Green Party, Youll find their websites by using Google.

No and yes clearly it needs some fine tuning. The basic diferrence is the number of people they supposely represent. WITH ALL THE SELF INTEREST AND OTHER INTEREST IT MAKES YOU WONDER IF WE SHOULD NOT BE RULED BY PERSON WHO DO NOT LIVE HERE.

What's wrong with "use?" Do you mean "you?" You is both singular and plural. Of course, that's not the only problem with this. Good thing appearing stupid won't stop your eligibility to vote.
