No, just dented up a bit. Mel will finanace his future movies anyways, and there has been some in Hollywood voicing support. The man is rich beyond reason anyways, even owns his own island.

NO...Americans are wonderful people, but media sometimes focus on stupid things like Gibson DUI just last week...we´ve all had drinks of our own and got happy here and there... will you give the man a chance? It is really not a big deal, jeees!!

Hope not.....even if it is, his life isn't.....we all have human failings
and we all fall down at times. He's only 50 and maybe it's an opportunity to change direction...i really do hope he wins the battle against alcoholism, it's not easy even with a lot of support, which he has....no i don't think its' over he could come back even stronger.

I'm in the uk(scotland) hope it's ok to answer your Q.....
