Here's a little advice that I hope is helpful. Join a class, club or activity right away where you will get to know a small group of students really well with whom you have something in common. This could be drama, music, athletics, dance, etc. . . whatever you have an interest in or passion for. When you have a group of similarly interested students and a place in the building that starts to feel like "home," the overall picture looks much less scary.

im a junior. usually if u are going to high school there will probably be some people you know right? unless you're going outside of the regular feederpattern of your middle school... so dont worry. at my highschool almost everyone came from the same middle school. so you'll see some familiar faces. its not all that bad. when i transitioned to high school it was the same as middle school.. just a bit more homework and studying. dont worry.

Be afraid! You will wake up in someone's locker upside down with a wedgie from hell you little creep! You will get acne and really bad-bad-skin......Mwhoohoo-hahahhaha! Mwahoohoo-hahaha!

There, is that better!?

Be yourself. Take a breath. Join clubs, and make friends. If you like sports, try out for the team(s). Do your best at what you can every day and spend little time with worries. (But be sure to budget your time wisely.) Worrying is bad for your stomach and your moral. Relax and enjoy! It will be okay!

i'm going to be a freshmen too........ and that dude who said to join a club or activity......... gives the same freakin answer all the time FOR REAL word for word. anyways i'm a little bit scared going into highschool and especially that it's a public one too i've been goin to private school all my life, buh i'm going there with one good from from my old class and i made a couple of close friends there already , and people say that i'm the most quiet and shy person EVER, so if i made friends you will too. and you'll definitely make friends if ur put into groups or whatever. but like you most freshmen will also be scared and "desperate" for friends so all you gotta do is walk up to any freshmen and just introduce yourself and ask if there scared too and everything like that.... that's what i'll most likely be doing, so ......... good luck

im a junior and i think you should just be nice and dont try too hard to fit in with other people if you arent like them(people will see right through the fakeness).im sure you will draw attention to people in your position. As for academics, you should take extra classes during summer or classes online if you want a scholarship.honors classes help alot, they arent hard they just study the same curriculum as a regular class....its just more in depth.

Just keep cool and most importantly be yourself
if you start off and make a fake impression then people wont trust you later
