The Bible says the Earth was created as it is. Therefore, there is no evolution and the planet cannot change. What is so hard about understanding that for people? The Bible is very clear on these matters; what, you're going to be stupid enough to not believe? It's your soul, after all.

A book of myths? Then how else would you explain life? What about right and wrong? Everything that is in the Bible happened and it's been proven.

It's not blind faith. The Bible says it and I don't just have faith, it IS THE BOOK. I didn't choose to believe it, God speaks to me. The only people that don't believe it are God's enemies and they're all liberals. How interesting...

The Bible was written by the hand of man. So how do you know they didn't alter things? Humans aren't perfect - that is the basis of religion.

And shame on you! Passing judgment over others is left for one - and only one - to do. God is the only one that can pass judgment. So calling your fellow man "fool" is not only promoting hatred towards others, but also doing a job you are hardly qualified for.

Now, the nature of science is based in the study of the earth reacting. Everything has reaction to something. And one can change things with the earth to cause a reaction. If you don't think that is true, you need to revisit science class.

No evolution? Really? How do you explain humans living longer, growing taller, weighing more and gaining advancements in all areas of their lives? Just happened? $h!t is the only thing that just happens! And if there is no evolution, how do you explain temperature change? If there was no evolution, there would be no change.

I do believe in God, and I believe in the Bible, but you have to realize that even the most devout follower of the Bible understands that it is a guide to religion. That is why there are so many different religions.

Shame on you. . .

And what? We're supposed to believe that God chose to speak to a person that uses a bad 80's hair band as your name? God speaks to us all - you are not a special one. One just needs to listen when spoken to.

Because unlike you, a large percentage of the rest of the world believes in science.

Your version of the Bible is less than two a thousand years old. Very little in it has been proven any more than any other myth, and far less than most historical texts or the beliefs of other religions. Even those who follow the Old Testament, which contains the book of Genesis, recognize it as an allegory, not something to be taken literally. But you refuse to give credit to those other religions, even those that have been in place for triple the amount of time that Christianity has existed.

Go ahead an accuse people of being stupid because they don't blindly follow your particular belief system. It just shows how closed-minded and insular your beliefs have made you.

I feel sorry for you, because what you have is not faith. It's fanaticism.

And you actually belive the bible? A book of edited myths taken from other cultures? There isn't a single original idea in there.

Show me how and where it's been proven? I can show you time and again where history and the bible diverge. I can even show you what was lifted from other religions. Just because some parts of the bible are historically accurate, doesn't mean that it's nothing more than a book of myths. The Red Badge of Courage is far more historically accurate than the bible, but it's a work of fiction.

Your argument holds little weight. Get over it.

I too believe the Bible and don't believe evolution or global warming to be true and I do have science to back me up on those statements. As for being a conglomeration of other religions, I see enough logic in it for it to involve a step in faith, not a leap as with other religions. Don't get me wrong, science is good, but science folds into philosophy, and philosophy has a choice of acknowledging or not acknowledging God -- which is where your sense of right and wrong comes from, IMHO -- I don't think anyone has addressed that aspect yet. That said, I don't see the Bible as a history book so much as I see it as a collection of writings about God's relationship with his creation. To see others' opinions about it being nothing more than mythology, well, shame on them, why do we have seminaries that require baccalaureate degrees in order to enter? Tell the pastor with a doctorate degree that he or she has studied several years of nothing but fiction, and you will be looked at for what you are -- a fool that does not deserve God. Sorry, a bit of my Calvinism showing through there.

It said God created the Earth not that the world can't change. Look back 100 years ago and look at now. There was obviously change. Even the Bible itself has changed over time! Looks like you need to look over things a little more before you post more idiotic questions. I really wouldn't call people stupid because they don't follow your beliefs.

created as it is doesnt mean that we are not incapable of changing it or that its not a changing world. Maybe God Created it to go threw cycles therefore change, therefore Global warming

but i dont trust the science explanation either ,.. because it was just 30 years ago they were saying that the Globe was Cooling and that if we didnt do something soon we would have food shortages because of it... its a junk science created to garner wealth, Fame and political power nothing more.

The Bible says what Man wants it to say...it has been edited so many times, to fit the beliefs of different Religions. Me, personally, I will believe in what Science is saying about Global Warming.

You think the planet has not changed since it came into being???? How naive can you be? Earth, and all of it's creatures, including us, act and respond according to the immutable laws of nature that God set forth at the beginning of time. That's why God doesn't "allow" plane crashes, or earthquakes, etc. ..... all occurrances like this are simply a result of natural law.

I'm Liberal but at the same time I am religious. Have you've seen the pictures of Antartica melting? Plus, just like the other guy said we are stewards of God creation, thus we can manipulate everything he made because we are in his image.
