I just downloaded firefox, when the browser opens this is what it says:
Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.mozilla.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Somebody help plz.

My firewall was already disabled, and there was nothing checked or filled in the proxy LAN settings.

Internet explorer works fine, and I tried that connection settings thing too. This very well may be a lost cause.... :(

2 things I know this one is a dumb one but is your net actually connected? I have been surfing for over 10 years and believe you me the time I try and access the net I realise after I dont have the darn thing on. OK it mentions proxy. This could be a connection your provider has setup - you need to check your proxy settings on internet explorer. Go to Internet options; connections; and settings. Look at proxy server is it ticked with something in the boxes? Is it ticked and empty. Ok if it is ticked and empty u need to do the same with Mozilla. If its ticked with something in it copy those numbers to the Moz box and tick proxy. GL.

If you can access the internet with Internet Explorer then perhaps your firewall is just blocking firefox.exe.

Also try this:
In Firefox click on Tools > Options
Under the General tab, click on connection settings. If you connect directly to the internet, make sure the first option is selected. If you connect via a network, choose the second option.
Press ok to close the connections settings dialog box. Press ok again to close the Options box..Restart Firefox.

If you have a firewall, make sure it allows firefox to connect to the internet.

Soooo. You basiclly can't connect to the internet.

-Do you have a firewall up? You may have to make an exception for firefox.

-Are you the Administrator? There may be limitations for your account.

good luck ;)
