Does Syria have Hezbollah's back, so to speak?

He was referring to the fact that Syria and Iran are the primary supporters of Hezbollah.

He could have been making a veiled threat that if Syria doesn't stop Hezbollah, Syria is going to get into trouble itself -- either from Israel, the US, NATO, whatever.

Or he could have just been pointing out the blatantly obvious that if the people supporting Hezbollah stop, then Hezbollah will be in serious trouble.
