Try Ranma 1/2. It's written by Rumiko Takahashi, the same creator that gave us Inuyasha. Ranma is considerably funnier than Inuyasha, though.
It's the story of a boy who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water. Hot water turns him back into a male again. You can imagine the possibilities for laughs here.

Two Words "Case Closed" it is hilarious. It is by Gosho Aoyama. It is the story of a detective who sumbles on to a plot. The two thugs realise they've been found out and procede to give him an experiemental poison that instead of killing the protagonist it reduces his body to that of a 10 year old. The rest of the series follows him handling this new challenge and still trying to be a great detective.
