Yes, in the King James Bible there are two Creations in Genesis chapters one and two. In the first, it seems that God created everything; it was perfect and complete. In the second, after the creation, a mist rises up from the earth - and this seems to be where things go wrong!

This is without looking it up. I'm sure many others have more scholarly or theological explanations for it. Read it yourself and see!

I've just looked at it. It seems to me that the first creation was complete. Then one needs theological study to understand why, when all was perfect, we need a more "mortal" creation. I would have thought the first was the spiritual creation by God; the second the way man has interpreted it. Perhaps others can explain.

The Bible describes the general story of creation first and then goes into the details about the creation of man. As simple as that.
