um i heard that there are these tea ceremony type places where you go dress up according to the form of tea ceremony and drink tea and eat little cakes and things.and that there are places that hold them for a price you can be a part of one.in cali where can i do that i live in santa rosa but am willing to travel 50-100 miles to go to one or if you know of a website that tells me where to go!

In Texas we have them, at least where I live at. You might search for tea houses...there are different kinds though, there are the dress up ones for kids then tea houses for only grown ups, so be specific when you call around. I am sure you have them in Cali. since we have them here in Texas...best of luck!

I have not ever heard of a tea ceremony other than the big one that happend many many years ago in the Boston Harbor. That one was called the Boston Tea party. I only like my tea real sweet and on ice. lol

The tea ceremony is usually a Japanese Ceremony. Giesha were always taught to do it, but it is formal ceromony. Here are some places it is offered and a description of it.

Are you thinking of something else? Tea ceremony is Japanese, I think you 're thinking of regualar Englsih tea houses. I don't know where you can find any in your area, but they shouldn't be hard to search for.

I have heard of them in Japan, but not here. Maybe if you go somewhere like to an ethnic area like an equivilent of Chinatown or something.
