a diamond wedding ring is more traditional. but i have seen beautiful wedding rings that dont have diamonds, instead they have either the brides's birthstone and/or even both stones of the couple, his and hers. remember whatever you decided to get, this is the ring that you are going to wear forever. make it the way you like and that both will cherish. and dont worry what anyone says as long as you both love it, that is the important part.
and by the way, congrads.

I say without, the way mine is made. If you're interested, read about the many people who are killed or maimed over diamonds. That doesn't say "love," which is the idea of a wedding ring. There are many other precious or semi-precious gem options. Is the Diamond Council so good at their advertising that people think a diamond ring is the only proper gift?

I would have to agree, any ring that comes from his heart is the best ring of all. Personally, I would prefer an engagement ring with a gem of some sort, but for wedding bands, I would like a more traditional style.

I'm more into relationships than things but if I marry again I would like a simple band with a single row of diamonds.
