You don't heat it, you cool it so it hardens. Use ice. Then scrape off as much as you can with a dull (butter) knife. Some will remain. You take that off with a towel soaked in a solvent like xylene or gasoline. When it dries a stain will still remain. That last stain you take off with a car upholstery shampoo that you can buy at any auto store.

I saw something on TV that showed how to remove candle wax from a carpet, but you will need access to an iron that will be able to reach the inside of the car. Preferably inside a garage. First set the iron on a regular setting not steam, put a piece of paper (blank printer paper) over the wax spot. When the iron get hots iron the spot but move the paper around to use clean areas and try not to roll iron around, just hold in one area, continue until it looks like wax is absorbed. If color stain appears you will need to seeks some fabric cleaners, maybe oxy clean it works great or spray n wash double action.
Good Luck.

It depends, if the seats are leather, it is easy to peel the wax of when it is hardened. If the seats are cloth, make sure the was is dry, and get off as much as you can, then use a clean pillow case, put it on top of the area with the wax, then put a hot iron on the pillow case.
The wax will melt and stick to it. Repeat till all the wax is gone. Shampoo area afterwards to get rid of the oil stain ( that will most likely remain there).
Good luck!
