not a undesirable poem. The question's honest---and, i think, the respond telegraphs how useful the poet could be in the critic's place! I reckon extra or less that one in 8 of my poems is nicely worth a 2d examining, and of that lot maybe one in 4 is nicely worth a 0.33. sooner or later i could write a poem nicely worth a fourth examining, yet while i don't, it is effective. i could be waiting to nudge those numbers up slightly, if I have been prepared to spend extra time in revision than I do. yet i'm not so prepared; I have been given in basic terms 168 hours in the week, and that i've got been given purposes for 2 hundred hours in the week. Somethin's gonna get starved for my time.
