Day - sunlight forever
If sleep was a problem, everyone can do as I did when I worked the graveyard shift, sleep in the day and in a darkened room. It would be good to rid some of the crime. Most crimes are committed in the darkness.

I'd chose night.. at night the air is fresh, you could always put a light bulb.. it's nicer going out to party at night and people get tired of the sun and the heat

Klo-Jann:
I would rather choose living with the Sun/Light forever because if it were dark/night forever,
we would not see anything
we would not be aware of our good deeds and mistakes done
we would not be able to tell others that they had done right/wrong
we could not work easily since there is no path for us
we would often bump into each other...
But if it were Sun/Light forever,
we would at least see something
we would at least be able to be aware of our good deeds and mistakes
we would be able to tell others that they had done right/wrong
we could work easily since we can see anything in front of us
we could be able to avoid bumping into each other.

Light , because we can create darkness with building materials and trees can shade you .. we need chlorophyll for plant life , etc..
The problem is that we need the night to help with the moons stimulating the tides in the ocean ....who knows what would happen without the use of our moon ..This is a cool question but I am sure it was given to stimulate a dialog of sorts.. We need both of them realistically.. But for surveys sake I choose and will always choose ,"THE LIGHT"

I would think absolute light or darkness would ultimately doom the planet. Eternal dark would cause coldness, loss of plant life, and a dependence on natural resources for illumination. Eternal light would cause heat waves, drought, and a significant loss of plant and animal life as well. You'd be hosed either way.

Oh, daylight. Otherwise, the plant life all goes. Then, much of the animal life goes, screws up the Eco-system and the rest of the animal life goes. No veggies, no meat, man has nothing to eat, which is probably neither here nor there because the oxygen has long since run out and we've all died anyway.

Day, I guess because I am a day person, if it was dark all the time I think my body would think it would have to sleep all the time. I guess darkness falls over Washington sometimes during the year for a certain amolunt of time and I have heard that alot of people get depressed when that happens.....
