At that age is still kind of soft and fluffy hair, I don't know if this is real or just something my Mom's side of the family does, but when they have children and the hair isn't coming in, they go get the heads shaved and then funnily enough they start to grow a thick head of hair. Like I said, this may just be a family thing, but my Mom did it to my sister and she has the best hair out of all of us.

First of all, don't goop his hair up with ANYTHING. Any gels, oils, lotions, etc. you put in his hair will do nothing more than clog his pores, give him greasy hair, and cause his hair to grow more slowly. (I saw this on Oprah once, years ago. She was actually talking about black haircare for adults, but you know...if it's true for adult hair, it's true for baby hair...hair is hair.)
My older son (2 1/2) has had several hair cuts, and it's horrible every time we go...screaming and thrashing and terrified of the barber. With my younger son, when he turned a year old, we put the #4 guard on my husband's clippers and buzzed him. He's SO cute! He looks like one of those little Chinese babies you see. (I think shaving the hair at a year old is some type of Chinese (or maybe all of Asia?) custom to promote hair growth. I always thought it was an old wives' tale...how could shaving a baby's head make it grow? I believe the Asians shave it completely and start from scratch. We used the #4, so he had about 1/2 inch of fuzziness, but you know...it's been a month now, and his hair is THICK.

It's up to the genes he was made with. There is no reason to be concerned. All babies grow hair at different rates. Adults are all different shapes and sizes and so are children. Be happy that your child is able to be happy and healthy. Hair needs to be the least of your worries.

honey dont expose ur son to shampoo and other products which is not so good for kids. I do have a 2 yr old son i just used to massage his hair before giving him bath and use only gerber baby shampoo or johnson baby shampoo, because baby shampoo is milder than adult shampoo. and my son has more hair growth which is not needed for baby boys i have to take him to salon every 15 days because of over hair growth. and just dont worry every baby is different his hair will grow faster than u think and give him more protein food than sugary food

He's a baby. He's not supposed to have a lot of hair. It will grow when it's time for it to grow.

local custom here in the Philippines is to not cut the baby's hair until he turns one and then shave his head. supposedly this will help his hair grow thicker and hopefully prevent balding in his latter years.
doctor also suggested dove bar unscented for his hair rather than shampoo. actually, dove bar unscented for hair and body. this was confirmed by my dermatologist. safe for babies

my daughter didn't get hair till she was over a year old so if he doesn't have hair, do sweat it, it will come sooner than later and when it comes you will wish it won't anymore cuz then you have to worry about cutting the hair

Don't rush it. My girls both have full heads of hair and while kind of cool, mostly it's just good for getting food stuck in it. The worst is when I don't find it right away.
