They are small and look likes a teddy bear.

3 years. go to hamsterrific.com for more info on hamsters and gerbils. I have 4 teddy bear hamsters and they are the sweetest things ever!!!

Do you mean teddy bear hamsters? Or gerbils? They are two seperate things.
Both live approx. 2-3 years though, and require similar upkeep. Gerbils are crazy chewers though and usually need a more solid home like an aquarium.
I suggest doing a bit more research before buying either of these animals :)
