I use AVG as a virus scan and there are about 50 infected files on my pc. Most of them are system files and a couple are executables. About 15 are dll files, and I feel uncomfortable about deleting those because it could really be messin with the engine. All AVG does is restrict them to the 'virus vault' but can't heal the files. And the thing is, the exe file of a game is infected but I play that game all the time. The only difference I've noticed on my pc is a lot of pop ups. What should I do ??

Yes, delete them. They are the actual virus which is why they can not be healed. Once a file has been restricted to the vault, it can no longer be used by your computer, so it is already running without those files. So it is safe to delete them.

Then download and install both Ad-Aware and Skybot Seek&Destory. They are free at download.com. Popups are not normally viruses, but spyware, and AVG does not clean spyware. Run both programs because the list of what they detect varies and one may get something the other misses.

Yes I would delete them from the quarentine. If you still have files that are running weird than you may have to delete them as well and just do a re-install of them. Try that first, then if all else fails, you may have to clean your hard drive, and start a fresh, good luck

Get google toolbar to prevent pop ups, and try to reinstall the game. It is good to delete the files.

are you sure that there viruses and not spyware? maybe try getting a better antivirus and spyware program and see if the files can be repaired before deleting files that your not sure of.
also if you are going to delete files you should save anything that's important in case you f-it up.
