Well.. you get in with wealthier kids. As for junior/high school private schools its just a waste of your parent's money. Then again having gone to the private schools will set you up better for getting into private colleges, which unless you have a full ride scholarship, will be a LOT of money. But the only difference between private and public colleges is the networking and contacts you can make there. Of course going to Harvard or Princeton looks good on a resume but without competence and experience you are still just another college grad looking for a job. Generally though, people who graduate from those ivy league schools will make 6 figures straight out of college.

Hey - i went to Holland Christian High School (Michigan).. i can tell you for sure that once you're out of highschool, into College or whatever, nobody cares. Some kids think that private school kids are stuck up snobs, and some are. If you show them that you're not, you'll have a great year. It's not as big a deal as you think it is - especially once you get a bit older.. High school kids can smell a fake from a mile away, but if you treat people like equals, i think you'll be just fine. Good luck this year!

Omigosh! I can believe that public school kids think that private school kids are snobby!! Most private school kids ARE NOT RICH! They live on a regular income like anybody else. As for smart.............Well most(not all) first year kids that transfer from public school most likely aren't on normal private school academic levels, but the next year are on the same level as everybody else. I've been going to private all my life and I love it.

They think of private school kids as stuck up. But it's just a stereotype. Go into that public school and show them how nice you are.

I have know clue. I'm homeschooled and LOVE it. I sleep in, have a wonderful relationship with my mother, am never made fun of for not being "cool" or wearing the "right" clothes. Plus, I have a wonderful education, I mean who would want you to learn more than your Mom, right? I know lots of people think we are so called "unsocialable" but if I had more friends then I do I don't think I really could give them the attention they deserved.
Public schoolers may think that private schoolers are snobs or think too highly of themselves, (not true) everyone is equal no matter where you are educated.

No problemo. As long as you dont bring your private school mindset and attitude there. People judge you by who you are in the long term. Although preconceived ideas may rule the immediate horizon. If you are friendly, and do in rome as romans do, you will be fine. Pray to the heavens, to give you 2 or 3 good friends. Jesus will help.

I son't know what kids might think, but I think you were blessed to be able to go to private school, even if it were for a short time.Where I live, the public schools are so dangerous. My daughter (2yrs) will NOT go to public schools,I'll do whatever I need to do to insure that.
