Overclocking a pre-built system is like buying a mini-van and suping it up.

Learn how to build your own before you worry about that. Typically, it's just as easy to buy the next fastest CPU than it is to overclock, especially if it's a low-end CPU. The newer Conroe from Intel is one exception. You can get a low-end version (which is still pretty damn fast) and overclock it as much as 10-15% with the right settings. It makes sense here because the fastest Conroes are $1000.

When pros can have problems damaging there PC , overclocking and stuff like that. I have done it but I changed it back because I did not like the temps.

I highly suggest upgrade over , overclocking.

your HP? Your printer?
Not sure what the HP acronym is...

but if your Bios is locked, you cannot change the settings relating to voltage, or processor/memory speed, so you won't be able to OC

you needto unlock the bios... maybe pull the battery, while the cord for AC power is unplugged.

If it is a Compaq, some have a jumper that locks it!

TURN OFF YOUR PC THEN CUT THE POWER
TAKE OFF YOUR BATTERY THAT INSTALLED ON YOUR MOTHER BOARD THE WAIT 15 MINUTES THEN PUT IT BACK AND START YOUR COMPUTER THE LOCK OF YOUR BIOS WILL NOW OPEN

dont think so, gotta replace bios or the whole motherboard.
