"Eighteen year olds are dumb and not smart enough"(?)

Who are you comparing them to? Did they not volunteer? Are they not trained at all? Please give them more credit than that!

first of all As a volunteer that has served a excursion in Iraq and Afghanistan. i visit declare close your mouth if for one minute you think of that it extremely isn't any longer a combat for the very existince of the very freedom you savour specific there are and could be assaults on pakistian whilst terrorists are chased into that united states we won't supply up for a imaginary line. in case you think of that by utilising pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan and for that rely ant have been else we are battling those animals you're a idot those human beings hate our very existance as unfastened thinking people they desire everybody to close up and do as a results of fact the reliable iman says. They hate the very concept that we enable women to have jobs or maybe walk the streets for that rely in case you desire to understand what the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan desire basically ask the various brave and strong Afghans that survivied the brutal rule of the Taliban. Im no longer saying that each and each muslim or for that rely each and every insurgant is evil and undesirable. yet nbelieve me this combat has been brewing as a results of fact the Crusades and could no longer end any time quickly

do you think it's right to deceive the public for your narrow self-interests and in the course of it, ruin another country and put young people in harm's way? i think that's a more appropriate question. if an 18 year-old wants to defend what he loves and cares about, then more power to him but i doubt that same person would risk his life so that the elites in his country can have more power and wealth.

“Let us pray in this hour that nothing can divide us, and that God will help us against the Devil! Almighty Lord, bless our fight!”
— Adolph Hitler to the SA in 1930

“The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated over and over.”
— Adolph Hitler

“The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.”
— Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels

“Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don’t want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship…Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.”
— Leading Nazi leader, Hermann Goering, at the Nuremberg Trials before he was sentenced to death

Actually, for those of you interested in history, the Nazis were very impressed by the achievements of propaganda in the US during WWI. Most Americans did not want to get involved in a European conflict but thanks to the propaganda campaign led by the Creel Commission created by the Wilson administration, the country shifted overwhelmingly for war within 6 months. After this success, the Public Relations industry was founded and the word "propanganda" was replaced with - you guessed it - public relations! They are very clear about their objective: to control the public mind.

”In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons — a trifling faction of our 120 million — who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses, who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world.“- Edward Bernays, one of the “fathers” of modern public relations, from "Propaganda" published in 1928

Aren't these the same people our society tells at 13 years old that they're mature enough to 'decide for yourself' if they want to have sex, take drugs, and have their bodies surgically altered, no matter what their 'out of touch' parents say?

Can't have it both ways, honey.
