I rather gain 150 lbs than lose my hand. You can always lose the weight but you can't grow your hand back unless of course you are a gecko.

If either thing happened, I would live with it and be happy. If I gained weight, I would work hard to get back to a weight commensurate with my height. If I had my hand amputated, I would pursue a prosthetic so I could go on about my life and career. People live with these conditions all the time and have full lives and are productive and happy. Why do you ask this question? There are thousands of people who have obesity or who have amputations. I REALLY hope you are not implying that something is wrong or different about people who have obesity or amputations.

Gain the 150 lbs, because weight can come and go, but when you lose a hand, it is gone !

I'd definately lose the hand. I weigh 200 now so with an additional 150 pounds I would be 350. No thanks. At that weight one is at high risk for diabetes and a whole bunch of other health problems. So if the choice comes down to losing a hand or dying I would rather be called captain hook for the rest of my life instead of dying a poor, fat bastard.

i would gain the weight because i could lose it or get liposuction thats the obvious answer ,on the other hand if you got lost in a forest and had carnivores chasing you the only way you could possibly survive would be to have an imperfection like an amputated hand that would make you unworthy to eat and they might leave you alone.

That's a really good question!
Most people will probably answer "I'll gain the 150" in order to not appear shallow.
However, society wouldn't look down on you for missing a hand, like it would if you were fat.

gain 150 because u can still do some of the things you can't do if u didn't have a hand and you can always lose it again!

i would proly take the 150 then lose a hand, I mean you could always lose the weight if you worked hard enough but you could never get back your hand. I mean they have the fake ones and now they have a process where you can take a dead persons hand and put it on your own body...but would it ever really be your hand?
