I went to the dotor, and basically it was because my mom was a bit worried, and told me to. The doctor gave me a quick once over, told me to take an over the counter, and tell my mom to stop worrying. I felt (a bit) like I was bothering the doctor. I have/had a cough and stufy nose.

did your doctor say what the cause may be? If it's a virus, he's just treating your symptoms until your body fights it off (antibiotics don't get rid of viral infections)..if it's allergies (did he suggest an antihistamine?) then it's usually seasonal and may cause you trouble until whatever you're allergic to is out of the air.

If the OTC he prescribed is not helping and you're still feeling the symptoms (or the symptoms have become worse) go back to him for further suggestions and to rule out a cause that he might not have looked for the first time (sometimes symptoms can be caused by an underlying condition or infection that isn't diagnosed properly).

I wouldn't be concerned persay...I'd just want to know what the cause is and the best way to treat it so that you can get back to feeling normal.

Sounds like an allergy. My son has a terrible stuffy head when his allergies flare up. It also causes a cough thats worse at night. He takes Nasonex for prevention and claritin for allergies.

This is not a solicitation but a genuine offer of free help.
Yahoo has accused me of this in the past because I offer to help people for free and I want to point out clearly that there is no profit for me in this offer of help.

most viruses like cold and flu can linger for a month just keep medicating yourself and if you dont feel any better you may need an anti-biotic to wipe it out good
