That is a real good question. But guess what? Men feel the same way. We don't understand women. At lease I don't.

Maybe the problem isn't solely with him, maybe it's with you too. You sound very insensitive with the choice of words that you are using i.e, "he throws a tantrum worse than my two kids", and "he griped the whole way there". All I'm saying is that it takes two to make a rotten marriage, and if he is upset then you need to talk to him to figure out why. What men and women don't realize is that in a marriage you both are responsible for each other same as you are responsible for your two kids. If your husband is walking around behaving badly, then you need to figure out why. He's YOUR husband, so take care of him emotionally. Believe it or not men have feelings too, so don't $hit on his like that and minimize them because with that attitude girl I can see why he's complaining about things. Stop being so non-chalant. That's how you let a good man get away.

my dad is like that and after 30 years of the same thing my parents are getting divorced, my mother cant take it anymore. so the only thing i think that would have made a difference is that like for you , you should definitly find a time when the kids are in bed or gone so that you can talk to him one on one. tell him that you dont understand why you get so angry when things dont go his way. tell him how it makes you feel and ask him why he has to be that way. let him talk while you listen then that way you can start to say things to him on how you two should fix this, tell him that it is not good for the marriage, that it scares you, and you dont think you should have to feel scared, that whatever it is about you are willing to listen and find a way for both of you to fix the problem even if that means counceling or something that you will support him in it if he is trying. tell him that it is not good fo the kids either , that you want to stay married to him but that things have to change its not a healthy marriage, and no it is not normal to live like this, yes you see it alot but no it is not ok not at all, that throwing fits and things and showing anger like that could eventualy get to where if someone sees it they can report it to the child services and they can come and take the children away till further investigations , to make sure that it is safe for them to live there. if they see that he is an angry person they might make him take classes before the kids can come back, and if he dont comply they might tell you if you want you kids back you have to leave him. so if he wants to avoid all of that and get some help it would be best for everyone, he is verry unhealthy for you and the kids as well as for himself. my dad now has high blood preasure, high risk for heart attack cause of that.

Many husband/boyfriends do annoying little things to us. Like mine drums his hands or feet when he is sitting still and it drives me up the wall. I look at him, roll my eyes, which gets a reaction from him and before you know it we are laughing our butts off. Don't blow it out of proportion. When he throws his tantrum do what you do to your kids when they have theirs (the funny things you do). My kids, I mocked them and got them giggling, or sometimes I'd say "what"? "what"? etc. until they couldn't stand it anymore and gave up on the tantrum. Didn't take my kids long to realize their fits did not get a serious response from me. Try it with your husband, don't let it get to you, turn it on him in a different way, other than anger and see if he doesn't give up after a while.

One way of looking at this is he is so comfortable with you he feels he has the right to throw a fit and complain! However, it might be a good idea to get an outside perspective on this. Sometimes that can be a way of dealing with deeper issues.

Best of luck! Remember everyone telling you marriage wasn't easy? Well it isn't!

Women will never understand men, and men will never understand women. It's a known fact. BUT, if you truly love him, you'll work things out. I mean, if he's just "gripping" and getting on your nerves... that's not an issue at all. Things could be a lot worse. You need to have a talk with him about it - maybe find out if he's stressed out or under a lot of pressure at work. Maybe that's what's causing his tantrums. Just talk to him. If he won't explain himself, just kick him in the balls. :)

You need to be talking to him about this, not us. Communicate, communicate, communicate...it's a key part of any relationship foundation...if you can't do that, the relationship isn't going to go far or be very healthy...

And you understand men about as well as they understand women...too often we are a mystery to each other...people don't stop to think from someone else's perspective, just their own...men and women are wired differently so if you always think like a woman, then you're unlikely to understand men...step out of the box and try to think differently or to conceptualize differently...it may help you understand your hubby more...

Sounds like he likes to ***** about things that have no real bearing on the outcome of normal events. If you are running late so what? I mean you have kids for the love of god.. thats expected! You could just try talking to him about his temper. And if that doesn't work try marriage counseling.

He must be a 'mommy's boy' cause he still is throwing tantrums. Check his mother out and ask her how she dealt with him. He ain't going to change unless he realizes he is the problem. Men can never admit their faults.
