Sometimes. But some people on here answer questions like they have a PhD 'cause they are well informed about the subject. Have you ever noticed how many best answers that Smokeeater has for Entertainment & Music? Those people that answer questions like that usually know what they're talking about. I don't get annoyed by it unless it's something rude or I can tell by the wording that they are trying to make them sound smart. But I can understand where you're coming from though.

...well I'm more of a celibate engineer than a ******* scientist, although I used to be a ******* scientist when I was at university doing my research. One of the other post-docs was female and agreeable. I can't remember her name at the moment, isn't that awful? I can picture her face (she was actually quite attractive - drop dead gorgeous considering she was an engineer). I got married, divorced, and now as I get a little older, that doesn't interest me so much anymore. I look at the co-eds and sigh, and think to myself... well its not any of your business what I think to myself.

Occasionally I have to think about questions that are being asked. I find it entertaining and relaxing. I worked a long time on my PhD, though I can't remember a single question about fluid dynamics, or the particulate erosion effects on boundary layer transpiration cooling.

I try not to allow people to piss me off. To do so would require my ceding control of my emotions to someone less competent to manage them.

I'm being trained to be a scientist, I'm a student at Harvard.

And some people here are expert scientists with PhDs, though very few are.

Why do you take it so personally?
What question did you ask that requires a PhD to respond?

After reviewing the questions you have asked it's quite apparent that no PhD is required to answer any one of them.
What's even more interesting is your need to post this question out of some anger towards an answer I gave to a previous question of yours.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I have some over bloated self image at all. I'm simply stating this because of your private messages to me that I have come to this conclusion.

I don't feel the need to post my resume or credentials, I need not answer to you.
You have your assumptions, as ill informed as they are, and I have mine. Let it be.

yeah some do, but then again i can't say much because i probably piss them off, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and if you ask a question, even though they don't have a PhD they are sahring either experiences with the poeple, or they read alot, so you can't really jusdge people and say they are not smart enough to give opininons, you ask, we answer.. sweet little system we have.

do you want everyone to act like they're ****** junkies? I have gotten upset too often by certion pple on here. BUT it isn't worth it. Its better when people don't feel they have to correct my question's sentense structure especially if 30 other people saw where I was coming from. To people like that, who are sometimes wrong, I;'d like to reoport 15 times.

Some times people "piss" me off but over all I enjoy it on here because it gives every one a forum for discussion and venting. I would suggest that if you get "pissed" off on here that you not come here. I might suggest a site that you can go to that you may be able to get "pissed" on, perhaps with your attitude that's more to your liking. Just a suggestion, just trying to bring a little cheer to your world, that's all.

Lol, yeah that's pretty annoying. Mean while they went and copied the whole answer off of a site and gave themselves credit. Anyway, I hate how people ask stupid questions when the answer is clear out in the open.

I thought the purpose of Yahoo Answers was to share your OPINION. If someone wants a professional's expertise, then they are in the wrong place. I'm not pissed off. I enjoy it. If I didn't, I would just stop participating.
