Good luck getting a sound one. Why not lease or part-board one, if it turns out to be the perfect match, you can offer to buy it on payments.

I'm sure you could. Look at equinehits.com, dreamhorse.com, horsetopia.com, equine.com, usahorseclassifieds.com, and freehorseads.com. Most have a searsh where you can look within X# miles from your zip code and they have min & max prices for searching.

Also you might try asking around at stables aometimes people offer real low prices for wonderful horses to go to a good home.

My riding instructor has told us many times of 10-20 year old horses in good condition that are free to a good home. And a girl I know bought her 11year old pony for $1 and a nicer pony is hard to find.

Another friend of mine got her horse for $800 and is winning National shows on him.

Good luck in your search I'm sure you'll find something.
