The research available doesn't tell us for sure. Although he shared his home and his bed with a man for some time, that wasn't necessarily unusual at the time, nor would it have indicated his sexual orientation.

Sexual orientation is for most of us a small part of who and what we are; it rarely defines greatness. What is important about Lincoln is what he achieve politically. It is entirely irrelevant who he had sex with. And it should be (though sadly isn't) irrelevant who our current polititians are sleeping with - it's much more important to consider what they are doing to our country and the world as a whole.

Ok, I have read your other questions and am ready to take a shot here, however I am not really certain what you are trying to ask, nor what kind of an answer you desire. However, I am inferring that you are looking for permission to engage in gay and / or bi sex acts. At least that is what I am getting from the vibe of your question. I will go out on a limb here and say that you are bi, if not gay, and are just not willing to accept that fact. Maybe it is not the actual act of sex that you find offensive, as much as the thought of you partaking in such activity that you find offensive. Again, maybe you are not ready to accept yourself as being bi or gay. Could this be the reason that you find sex with you friend unappealing? If that is the true reason that is a very sad thing. It is not often that we find someone that is so perfectly compatible and makes us truly happy. I hope this helps a little bit with your confusing problem, and I could go on in more detail, but that will be for another time. Best regards.

Lincoln was a great man no doubt , His accomplishments stand for his genus and ability to act in a crisis . He was a man who was generous and giving as well as intelligent . I think if he was gay he hid it well . The things written about his lesions with the man he was suppose have had a thing for are at best unclear in the way they define what actually went on between them . They did at times live together and share a bed , but at the time men share beds in that fashion in Inns all the time due to the shortage of beds . There may be as many as 3 men in the same bed at any given time . I think he was straight and loved his wife and family .

Think he was probably straight (the previous president, James Buchanan, was much more likely to have been gay than Lincoln). However, as many here have noted, Lincoln has been dead a long time so it really doesn't matter that much.
