The Eight by Katherine Neville is my favorite book, and even though I have not read The Da Vinci Code, I've heard that it is way better.

Back to your keywords, The Dispossesed by Ursula Le Guin is a good book about separate worlds, one a complete anarchy and the other a "utopia." The book focuses on utopia/dystopia. Good book! Oh yeah! The book also has "freedom fight," so basically an entire society fights to have its people free from possessions.

In Dubious Battle by John Steinbeck
Out of the Ashes by William Johnstone. He's no Steinbeck but it was a good read.

The best fiction book I have ever read is "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti. I have read it 3 times and would read it again.

Thanks for the key words, or I would have recommended Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. You might try Vengeance, the book on which the movie Munich was based. Some have considered it nonfiction... not sure myself because it's on my current reading list and will get to it later.

This much I know is true. by Wally Lamb. I don't think that it has anything to do with that, but it is a awesome book.
It has to deal with a set of twins, and what one twin had to deal with living with the other twin that is a schizophrenic.
