Contact the authorities. They will put you in foster care and force your parents to pay for it. They can charge your parents with criminal neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child abandonment and anything else they can think of.

What ever did you do to your parents? You are probably not blameless in this and sometimes parents just don't know how to handle wayward teenagers.

They can by calling the dept of child services to take the kid away, or call the cops to have the kid incarcerated in a juvenile institution if they will not respect their authority (sorry. . . Eric Cartman just came out in that last statement!).

Can they just put the kid on the street? No, I don't think the law allows that. But the parents can take steps to have the child removed and an arbitrator to come in to "negotiate" terms on the child remaining in the household.

But I think a kid really needs to respect the rules set forth by their parents. If you want to live under their roof rent-free, then you do it by their rules. Don't like them? MOVE.

I was thrown out of the house at sixteen and lived independently since. In some states, there may be a law allowing such kids to apply for financial support from their parents. You would have to contact an attorney. Otherwise, you can get legally emanicipated so that you can act as your own guardian.

The easiest way to find out is to call the Child Abuse Neglect Hotline who will answer your question immediately. If you are the kid in question, please go to a safe place. I hope you have a youth center, a homeless shelter, or someone you know and trust until you get this under control. Be very careful and be safe.
