He will never fire Rumsfeld.
Rumsfeld has been pulling strings in Washington since the Nixon admin. Rumsfeld was the person who actually gave Cheney his first political job when Cheney was just an intern. Also, the two of them, Cheney and Rumsfeld, are the ones who hired Bush Sr. as the head of the CIA.
I am sure they picked 'The Burning' Bush Jr to be president because of the evangelical vote but Bush really has no power. Rumsfeld has been failing since he didn't send enough troops into Iraq even at the advisement of many experienced military personnel.
He should have been fired over that ages ago but he is the real one in charge. Have you not watched Frontlines's - The Dark Side? You should check that out. It shows you how powerful Cheney and Rumsfeld really are.

Frontline also did one called Rumsfeld's War. Check those out when you have time. You will learn a lot.

Donald Rumsfeld's job as Secretary of Defense and Joe Lieberman's job as a US Senator have very little to do with each other.
Lieberman is only running in a primary, anyway.
Why would Bush fire Rummy if Lieberman lost???!!!??!??

While Lieberman is a DINO (Democrat in name only) and is expected to lose the primary tomorrow, he will run as an independant for the general election.
This will have no effect on the President and his staff. Rumsfeld is safe in his job...for now.

Bush won't fire Rumsfeld. Incompetent people in his administration are rewarded. The result of the 8/8 primary has nothing to do with Rumsfeld.

You draw the wrong message from a Lieberman loss. I like Joe even though I am a conservative. He is the last of the JFK Democrats when the Party was a solid party a National Party. The party of the Center. If his opponent wins that is great news for the GOP

Lieberman can't lose his senate seat tomorrow. It's a primary. He can't run for re-election as a democrat if he loses tomorrow. He will run as an independent.

He did not run as a Democrat this time. Lieberman definitely lost the Democratic usual to Ned Lamont. He than ran against him in the final election as an self reliant and gained. you could desire to attempt instructing your self quite of asking stupid questions that make no experience for the reason which you do not understand the subject to hand.

Bush is jackass. I dont think he's capable of making big changes. The only thing he changed so far is middle management (chief of staff). That and moving Fox News into the White House instead of on the front porch. Bush is going to dig in his heels and "Stay the course"

Clearly not.
Why would Lieberman's election status have any significant impact on Bush? That makes no real sense to me.
