Every time I see a white person trying to do the electric slide, they look like they've never done it before. Do they do it at weddings also? And will this dance live forever?

I'm not being racist and saying something mean and degrading about white people. I'm asking a legitamite question, because I've never seen them doing the electric slide. It's like if I said most white people don't do Traditional African Dance. That's not racist. You just don't see many white people doing Traditional African Dance. It's not attacking them.

Once again, I'm not laughing at white people who aren't able to do it, i'm just asking if they ever do the dance.

People still know how to do the Charleston, which is from the 1920's, so I'm sure the Slide will go on for quite some time. I can do the electric slide, but it has been a while. I haven't been to any weddings in more than 10 years, and at that one, we didn't do it.

All black people aren't born knowing how to dance and neither are all white people. Some people have to take the time to learn. Do you have to know how to dance every dance perfectly before you can even try it in public? Do you feel the need to laugh at white people or people that are different than you?

Yeah and incredibly poorly and boring - I DJ'ed an S' load of Weddings for almost 10 years... 10 freakin years of... "... It's electric!" and getting the same stupid reaction from the guests who think they're so cool for doing the electric slide. I always wished there was a nasty version of it I could have mixed into - you know tick off a few people.

Yeah, everybody does the electric slide, including white people. I was at this wedding between two asians (this is not a joke) and at the reception they were doing it. This dance is universal.

Not to be whatever....but, I thought only white people did the electric slide. It's kind of cheesy and really past its prime. But, let's face it, it's like the hokey-pokey. Everyone knows how to do it. If they look bad in the process they probably A) are really drunk or B)only doing it because they really can't dance and choreographed moves are their only chance.

Ummm Im white and I have no idea of what the electric slide is...as far as I was concerned that was just a slide rigged up to shock you when you go down.

Ive seen it at "white" functions but they're better at the chicken dance. As for living forever I see it slowly getting phazed out by the cha-cha slide!
