Perhaps you can provide more detail? Were you the lecturer, trying to get the syllabus you created? If so, just write a letter to the department asking for any copies. (You might raise the issue of copyright, though they will contend it was a work for hire, and they own the copyright. So to begin with, I'd stay away from legal argument, and just ask for a copy for your records.)
If you are instead a student or someone else, write to the lecturer asking if he/she has another copy.
In addition to providing details of your relationship to the syllabus and the university, you might say why you think there will be a problem with your request.
