Most people couldn't give a logical reason as to why. The Jews did not kill Jesus (the Jew), it was the Romans, Jews did not crucify.

I don't think that the anti-Jew sentiment is worldwide. In fact, except for their holocaust in Europe eveyhere else they were assimmilated with the local prople though preserving their idetity I remember one Jewish girl Ms. Jerusha Reuben who had stood first in Marathi in the post-graduation examination and our teachers would always cite her example to us.In India everywher they went they selected trades and business which supplented the other professions and played a complinentary role and there was no question of any competetion. In Europe it appears they were business who gave keen competetion to the local gentry which might have been the cause of the hatred. Merchant of Venice of Shakespeare is a case in point. The ancient stories that Jews had betrayed Christ were given undue importance in the devout Christians in Europe which also added to the distancing. Otherwise wherever they went the Jews have helped the local societies erecting industries, opening mills, erecting hospitals etc.So this hate the Jews appears to be a Euro-centric phenomenon also transferred to America. The outrpourings of Mel Gibson(of the Passion of christ defame) is a case in point.
However, the unreserved help the Jews gave to the world war efforts had a good effet on the society and it was that society which helped Jews go back to their promised land, stay and grow there..

Although I feel lifesgame had a valid point, I feel that people hate jews so much because many of them are successful. In post WW1 Germany, many of the most wealthy people in the country were Jews which angered many native Germans living in a country rebuilding from WW1. In the mideast the Arabs dislike the Jews because they were GIVEN the land previously called Palestine by the Allies (US, Great Britain) in WW2. Any action which displaces natives in favor of a new religion is going to anger mideasterners. Some people wonder why Arabs hate us so much. All we have to look to is mistakes we've made in the past to understand that.

SOME Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus, but why does that even matter? People hate people because they are afraid of what they don't understand. Stupidity. Don't fall into that trap.
Last I checked, Jesus was a Jew.

Eve, I think that people hate Jews so much is because of their religious differences and they just dont tolerate each other. Also, some people disagree with what the Jews do, and some Jews just have their own opinion. I personally am not jewish just so you know.
I HOPE THIS HELPED!

They hate because they *need* someone to hate, and Jews are an easy target since they have a history of being very smart, inventive, good with money, very honest in business dealings, and are unwilling to get into fights if they can avoid them.
However, Muslims have been fighting with Jews for ages, and as part of their ongoing campaign against Jews the Muslims have spread lies & rumours about them such as .... Jews are stupid, untrustworthy crooks who are dishonest in business & personal dealings, out to take over the world, etc.
None of that is true, but history has shown time & again that if you say something often enough people will begin to believe it, especially if doing so makes them feel better about themselves. There are about a million Muslims for every Jew, so it makes very little sense for Jews to be carrying out terrorist attacks against Muslim countries, though Muslims claim that Jews are terrorists who attack without provocation. But doing so would only invite the Jew's own demise since they are so heavily outnumbered, so that claim is clearly false. Jews tend to hold back when assaulted, though they do have a history of eventually responding with force to attacks against their own people after holding back for a long time, which is why they're wreaking havoc in Lebanon against Hezbollah now.
But as our own very public experiences in the Middle East and on our own soil have proven, Muslims are infamous of using violence against anyone perceived as an enemy of Islam, even their own people, and they have been doing so for ages.

Jews are such an easy scapegoat to blame things on, it comes from ages on steryotyping (see: Merchant of Venice), and etc. and besides, it wasn't the jews, it was some jewish leaders who reported about him, then the romans that killed him, so I think is the story.
