Which beach has the most sand? I think that proportionately it must be very close to being the same. There are maintenance technicians, doctors, lawyers, and many other professional disciplines that have "corrupt" people. I also have a great faith in people in general. Sometimes it is the individuals that are genuinely trying to make the best of this world; however, it is the "nature of the beast" that causes problems and issues. Look at the individual and imagine they are governed by the group they represent in the forum and context that control rules (explicit and implicit) that direct the course of events (more so than the direction that might be desired of all the individuals involved). Have faith. You will find more that want the best of this world for everyone than those who wish for chaos or evil.

Logically, there would be one state that stands out. Most likely, that particular state is one that is just doing a more effective job of monitoring their politicians to ensure their honesty. My answer is: that is a competition no state wants to win and a random selection of all politicians from everywhere in each state would average about the same number of honest politicians in each state as well as the same number of corrupt ones, when compared to all other states.

This actually happened a few weeks ago. A guy was stopped by the state police for a traffic violation. He called his girlfriend, who happens to be the Attorney General of the State of New Jersey, on his cell phone. She got in her official vehicle and arrived on the scene, talked to the trooper, who left without issuing a summons.

I'd have to say right here in Pennsylvania. Ours is the legislature that passed the midnight pay raise, though we threw some of the bums out, including the Senate majority leader, in the primaries. Then there's our governor, Ed Rendell. I wouldn't put anything past him. (He signed the midnight pay raise.)
