My boyfriend and i are both in the military different branches. I am active duty and he is reservist also. We don't see each other that much and i am going to iraq on wednesday August 9th 2006. I think he is scared but he will never really tellme how he feels. When i am home we spend everyday together. I just don't understand why he says he is going to ask but then never does. I would just like some advice on this if anyone could help.

While I was dating my husband he kept bringing up marriage and never asked me to marry him so I finally asked him to marry me and he said yes. Your boyfriend just might be scared to lose you or he is waiting for the perfect time to purpose, it will happen when it happens and if you can't wait anymore ask him to marry you. I wish you safety in Iraq. Good Luck

i think maybe he is looking for the right time, and he cant seem to find it, so maybe that makes him think if he should get married when you never get to see eachother. its just sorta like pre-wedding jitters, exept for he hasnt even proposed yet and is already having second thoughts. i think that you should sit and talk to him about how you feel, tell him that you are trying to wait for him to propose to you but that you feel that he might be having some difficulty for some reason like second thoughts or something, that you would like to know why so that you can help him with it. then if he realy loves you he will talk to you about it. he is probably trying to do what is best for the both of you and is not sure if marriage is the right thing in your current position, maybe he wants to wait till you both settle down a little bit to where you are able to see eachother more than you do now? but talk to him it is the only true way to find out what is going on. i know it is hard to step out of your comfort zone but if you love him you will find the time and courage to talk to him about it, good luck i only wish you the best.

Why buy the cow when the milk is free.
If he marrys you he is tied down and has to be faithful while your gone. When your home is the key phrase.
Who does he date when your not home? someone else he is sleeping with? Being single he has women after him.
he can go and come as he likes. Say you want to live with me, marry me. You have had enough free sex. He will run I guarantee it. That is not love that is using someone for sex.

give him a time limit (like a year for example) and if he cant commit and you dont want to wait then go find another fish in the sea. If marriage is that important to you and not to him find someone else who thinks the way you do.

I thought my boyfriend would never ask. My best advice, just wait...He is probably waiting for the perfect ring and opportunity to propose to you.

tell him you've a situation with it. even if it truly is something he in no way hears you ***** about then he probably will in no way replace. enable him comprehend and note what his reaction is, then you are able to gauge from that as to even if it truly is a relationship that you're going to satisfy one yet another 1/2 way in.

If he hasn't ask you then maybe you should ask him. It will catch him off guard and he just might turn the tables and ask you. Good Luck!
