it needs an oil charge all you need to do is either buy a kit and do it yourself or take it somewhere they will put the oil in and recharge the freon and you are good to go

Bad, sounds like it came apart inside. The good news is that partsfor that style system are relitivly inexpensive.

You will have to replace the compressor, receiver/dryer, and the orfice tube. You will have to flush all other componets (condenser, evaporator, and lines) to remove any paticles from the bad compressor.

To save money use Freeze-12 for the freon instead of using R-12

It's very bad. The compressor is locked up. You will need to replace the dryer, compressor, and expansion valve. Good luck.

ITS NOT TO BAD YOU JUST NEED TO GET A NEW COMPRESSOR AND THEN HAVE IT VACCUMED DOWN AND RECHARGED AND THEN YOU WILL BE IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT NO THIS YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE IT CONVERTID OVER TO 134A IF IT ISN'T ALREADY GOOD LUCK
