because my best friend is in the band and he always asks me if hes a geek. i say no your great but what do you say?

well .. im in band and i considered a nerd and a geek because i have no life. i think its too cool for school.

ok he is neither. a nerd is someone who's whole life is computers. a geek is a social misfit. your friend is a band kid. totally different species than nerd. it's ok i used to be, and still probably am, a band kid. BAND KIDS RULE!
