I feel like anytime someone is mean or hateful to someone they are insecure about themselves. When I was in elementary school this one girl used to pick on me all the time and make me feel really bad. I never wanted to go to school at all, I would get sick in the mornings from crying, now I am 22 yrs old and I started working at a company and I found out she worked there and she came to me and told me that she always bothered me because she was jealous I had pretty long hair good grades I always won awards and had alot of friends, I think that the same goes for some people that are older too they are jealous of what someone else has so they try to make them feel bed for having what the have.

I don't know why SOME people (not all) feel the need to treat others with hatred and disrespect. I was called a "moron" on this site simply for asking for some ideas for training my horse. The person who answered that question obviously didn't read my supporting information with the question or he would have realized that I already tried the training method he suggested. I have read really hateful and demeaning comments about Christians on this site. I'm a Christian and I have friends who are not. We respect each others beliefs and leave it at that. Hating someone for believing in God is rediculous. I'm not harming them or anyone else with my beliefs.

Human beings as a race really aren't all that civilized as we'd like to think we are. As far as we've come through the ages, we still break into little groups that hate to merge with other groups. In the struggle for individuality, it seems like most people will fall in with a group of one specific people only to become the detriment of others. Someday hopefully we will all dismiss the idea of needing to be in a particular group, and everyone will only view other people as someone that isn't all that different from themselves. Compassion begins with the journey to understanding.

It is simply low self esteem and small mindedness. A person must be too important to waste time to be hateful toward people. I am one of those people that attempts to make others feel good about themselves. Otherwise, I would not say anything derogatory to anyone. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31 Peace and God Bless.

Because they can be, and there's not much more to it. Humankind isn't all wonderful. There are always going to be terrible people in the world. The nature of a human is to live for one's self in order to strive in their environment. If they have to beat others to the ground, they may very well do it if motivated enough. Hatefulness, I think, is derived from fear. People fear the unknown, it's in their blood. They show hate for what they fear. They fear what they want to hate.

People usually say it's because they lack self confidence, so they take it out on other people. The whole bullys are the real cowards thing. I disagree. I believe it's because they have so much self-confidence, they are so self absorbed that they truly believe they are strictly better than other people. So it doesn't matter what they do to the other people, because other people are less than human. Like a regular guy casually stepping on an ant.

it could be jealousy, maybe they were treated badly at some point themselves and they want to take it out on someone else. maybe there is something that is upsetting them and they are confused about what to do so they get frustrated and angry. there is a thousand other things that could be happening in their lives.
