I feel overwhelmed. All I can do is think-- think about things that have never really tweaked even the slightest intrest to me. Like life, time, and death. I'm only 13... and it's all I've been thinking about. Not boys, happiness and all that stuff... but things that never came to mind before. How can I occupy my mind to something else? It keeps me up at night, wondering if I could die the next day or if the world would just stop turning. And everything I do, no matter what just seems to take the back burner to what I think of. Is it possible for me to find something easier to think about?

those are the best things to think about because when you do think about them you find your way.

You are far to young for all that now, Try reading some articles that you like try helping out some elderly person at there home ect. GET INVOLVE WITH YOUR CHURCH. There is so much to life than to be overwhelmed with these things, These are things you can do nothing about, YOU MAY BE DEPRESSED, Try letting an adult know how/what you are feeling, This is what Parents are for. TALK TALK TALK TO THEM. Then again I remember I went through something similar as I entered my teen years I was not happy @ home because My Father was an Alcoholic and a HELL RAISER. Well I wanted to just GET AWAY, But later Parents found out that it was Hormones of being a teen. Take Care AND I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER. IT WILL GET BETTER YOU MUST HOPE/BELIEVE.

I'm seventeen and I often find myself thinking about those things. It seems everyone goes through a time where these things become important. Sooner or later, you'll find someone or something that makes you happy, and you'll just stop worrying about it, and start worrying about how to stay happy, how to keep your someone happy, whatever. I've gone through that a few times, and every time it stays a little while and then disperses. When you start taking higher level classes in school, it might go away, too, because you'll be too worried about passing to think about life, the universe and everything.
If it keeps getting worse, I would suggest talking to a trained counsellor, whether at your school or local youth group. Because while Yahoo!Answers might look like the answer to your problems, sometimes you need a little face to face conversation to rid you of your funk.
Good luck.

I remember thirteen very well. You have so much input and so much to experience. The amount of knowledge you've crammed into your brain in the last thirteen years is overwhelming.
Think, and think often. Think hard and try to figure out every question you can think of.
You appear to have a very sharp mind. Use it well and often. All of these thoughts, ideas etc are helping to mold you into a caring wonderful adult.
I remember at thirteen, my physically changes were a challenge too. I discovered girls and the existance of competition with other guys for those young ladies.
You've got a system overload. Death is not an option, life is all yours and quite frankly I openly envy you for the experiences your going to have in your life.

Live well, never stop thinking.

I do think about these things occassionaly too but the problem here is maybe you are just been too hard on yourself. Just focus on other stuff like watching tv, playing games with friends and also talking to your parents. Goodluck

If you can't stop thinking about this you may have some kind of anxiety disorder.

You should seek help from either someone you trust and can listen to you or a therapist.

I suggest you talk to your parents about this. They can find a good counselor or doctor or priest to talk to about this.

good luck!
