LOGGED ON TO COMPUTER AND NOTICED THAT THE THE MENU TASK BAR MOVE TO THE TOP OF SCREEN INSTEAD OF BOTTOM PAGE AS IT USUALLY IS. WAS AT BOTTOM LAST TIME I LOGGED OFF. IT MOVED BY IT SELF. TRIED CLICK AND DRAG TO BOTTOM BUT ALL IT DOES IS WIDEN TO HALF SCREEN AND DOES NOT MOVE ANY FURTHER. DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND HOW RESOLVED? (FIXED)

You'll need to unlock it. Simply right click anywhere on the taskbar and do the following.

> Uncheck 'Lock The Taskbar'

THEN... Once you have dragged the bar back to the bottom, you may want to right click on the bar and check "Lock the Taskbar". That will keep anyone from being able to accidently move it in the future.

LOL - I had that happen to me about a year ago - I can't remember the fix but it was difficult to find. right click the task bar I think its in one of those options listed - hope you find it.

see if this works right click on the task bar and see if lock the task bar i checked and if is thats y u cant move it if it was checked uncheck it and try moving it again

right click the taksbar click on lock taskbar and make sure the tick mark is off the lock taskbar then hold the mouse button down when you put the mouse icon on the taskbar and move the taskbar to where you want it then right click the taskbar and click on lock taskbar then it will stop where you put it

try left clicking the task bar and then click "lock the task bar", then try to click and drag the task bar again.

instead of clicking on the edge of the bar and making it wider click in the center and drag down.

try double clicking on it, or click on the top of the task bar and try and drag it that way...

I think you have lock it to unlock you have to right click it and click on "lock the taskbar" and then you might able to movr it.

If you can't move it using the answers already here:
Try going back to a previous restore point.
Sounds easy and it might just work! (can't hurt)
