and sometimes very ashamed to admit being British! I am not racist, i do not judge people by the colour of the skin or by the religion that they follow, only it worries me that with the ignorance the the uk has regarding Pakistani people, how everyone including my family will react if i married this guy that i love so much!
oh, what do i do!!?
Do i just live a life of lies, pretending that i dont love him and all that or do i just say, Bugger it to everyone and be with my Muslim man anyway!! I really dont know what to do about it!please help....and no racist remarks, just genuine help please! thanx

If you love him, go for it. If you don't make the move first, somebody will. (Please make me best answer)

Try to relocate yourself in another city in uk with him, that way will somehow avoid the contact with your familly no ? Love is the most greatful thing that can happen in a person life, do not kick'it away because some of your friends or familly is against u, i had a similar story, a just practicly "walked " on they opinion, they one day will be no more, and u will be by yourself. If this happends once " that they are telling u what to do " it can happend again, and i know what that means. Good luck and follow your hart :)

ive been in a similar situation, and it turned out he felt the same way. it sounds like he really cares about you and you two can talk to each other easily, so if i were you i would tell him that you need some advice. say something like "so im really starting to like one of my guy friends and im not totally sure how to handle it." if he really knows you, he will have it at least in the back of his mind that it might be him. that alone will get his hopes up and make him more interested. its always great to date your best friend because its so personal, but watch out that if you were to ever break up that it wouldnt ruin your friendship. good luck!

I bet people in Pakistan have wrong views of the British.
Before you get to involved you better read the Quran and find out what you are going become involved in. spend some time apart and study. It you are willing to give your self to Allah then you will have no problem. if this guy can sweet talk you into getting married before you have studied Islam you are screwed

Does he want you to become muslim? Be careful my dear. If you really love him, really love him, and he loves you. Go for it and who cares what people think. It's like the mixed races marriages in the 70's?Best of luck to you.

live your life for you, not anyone else. Family should be unconditional love but we don't live in a fairytale world, so you need do follow your heart

If you want to marry him you have to become a Muslim -- unless he changes his belief to other religion.
In my country (Thailand) this is no big deal at all.
