Remember your ex as a laughing jackass, or a disgusting gorilla
magnify their faults and keep that image burnt in your brain.

Are you asking for psychology based methods? I'm not sure there is a best method. For me getting over a breakup depends on a lot of factors: whether I see that person at all after the breakup, if it is a "clean break" where we lose contact or if there is some sort of relationship/friendship after the breakup.

I think it is important to have friends you can talk to, who'll help you recover and who'll be there for you if you need them.

The best way to get over a breakup is to do all the things you usually do even if you don't feel like it. Listen to upbeat music that you like. Go out with friends. Also remember that if he was the one for you, you would still be together. There will be someone who will love you just the way you are. That is sooooo much better than being with someone who wants to change you to their way of being.Until then, work at enjoying life and be yourself when in company of those of the opposite sex.Good luck to you.

Talk to your friends, family, whoever you can talk to. Hang out with them too. Give yourself some time to get over the breakup. *hug* Good luck:)

The best medicine is to IMMEDIATELY move on and start dating someone else. You will develop amnesia rather quickly.

do what you feel like. Don't avoid it. The more you avoid it, or try to forget it or act like it's no big deal, the more you would suffer because of it. You don't want it to build up inside you.
