prices just about doubled in the DC area, then we bought a prius so our fuel expenses were cut in half. besides, i'm converting to ethanol, because i am tired of wondering if Iraq was invaded for oil, tired of wondering if the oil companies are raping the US and other nations, and sick and goddamm tired of our government meddling in the mid east in order to get access to oil and thus indirectly causing terrorism. *** em all, i say. they ain't gettin my goddamm money.

No there will not be any relief soon. The only way you are going to get the prices to drop is to reduce our usage tremendously AND also get china to roll back its demand of a few years ago. China's demand is closing in our ours, and we are #1. It wouldn't matter if you had God as the president, he couldn't change a thing.

My wife and I have always driven cars that we consider fuel efficient. Although the price has gone up, I can't blame Bush. I have to blame Cheney. He was the one that had secret energy department meetings. He was the one that ran the world's largest oil service company. Bush was a failed oil business man. He was actually unable to find oil when his company drilled for it. Luckily, his dad's friends were there to bail him out.

It was just anounced today that 8 % of America's oil inflow is being shut down for awhile to address leaks in the Alaska pipeline... This means the oil companies have another excuse to stick it to us for the next few months.
