you can't joke about anything with them without becoming the recipiant of one of those "looks" of theirs. i asked a couple of days ago "if jesus came back would he be considered a zombie"... yeah, i know... politically incorrect... but, mostly everyone who answered started screaming about "you're going to burn in hell"..."i'm reporting this"..."you should be ashamed of yourself"... it's like anything that isn't like the humor on old episodes of FULL HOUSE is quickly red-flagged.

i asked that question to a lot of christians at my job (and i live in virginia so you know they're DEVOTED) and they got the humor and thought it was hysterical! one was even the pastor at his church!

so, what is it?

I think some Christians see their faith as a lifetime of bearing crosses. No matter your religion, it should enlighten you and comfort you. I think God (whom ever yours is) HAS to have a sense of humor. I mean, the platypus was created...look at it! Anything that warped had to be a joke.

To get back to your question, I wouldn't judge the masses, because many Christians I know have warped sense of humors also. I guess it just depends if you're talking holy rollers, bob n dippers, or chanters. <---see, someone will not like that either.

Most Christians don't have a sense of humor. Similar to the Soviets before. No offense being meant and no derogatory comparison being insinuated, ok? Just information.

That's because some Christians think human laughter is not necassary and they are always very concerned that they might offend someone if they laugh. Same with the Soviets but they feared insulting Stalin and the Gulag.

Christianity dehumanizes for the "Glory of God".

Soviets were dehumanized for the "Glory of the Revolution"

Peace.

Well to Christians,...when you put jesus in a joke that's worse than when people make jokes about your mama. It's not very funny. It's a love and revernce towards God and His son Jesus CHrist....Then there are your self righteous christians that think everything is a sin.......don't jusdge or stereo type all Christians just because of a few bubble heads.....(ha..ha)

A lot of people, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, are offended when you joke about their religion. It is of course holy to them (us...hmm) so, people don't like jokes about something that is sacred to them.

Most likely, people are overly sensitive, and are used to having to defend their religion, on here especially, and are used to people trying to get a rise out of them or bashing their religion so they are already up in arms, so, no they don't have the best sense of humor just then, and thus, do...as they did.

But please, don't generalize. I'm Christian, and I agree with your co-workers, that's a funny one. I like it.
