I really like the nice gentle, yet refreshing glaze of the wind as it blows past me in snowy days. Just sit back on a hanmock and just let the cool air relax the muscles after a good day work or to sleep the time away, especally since the bugs are not around in winter. I hate bugs!!

I don't care for the cold or the snow after the 2nd storm, so I really like January Thaw!! I like February, because I just love the anticipation of warmer days, cold nights and the maple syrup buckets going up on the trees.

I like taking my daughter and her friends to the toboggan run. We take the sleds too and go down the hill. Last year we even found a bunch of broken sleds and I made them all hold the pieces and sit in the snow with a sad face like they were to rough and broke them. It was a really comical photo and all the moms loved to get a copy as a souvenir

I like the outline of the trees against the skyline, and the sense of rest in nature after a year of activity. And I love it when we get lots of snow and most when it's that really really sparkly kind of snow. And I love that snow is good for the water table, seeping slowly into the ground to prepare us for next year.

My winter job, snowboarding, Christmas season, cross country skiing, reading by the fireplace, I get to bring out my duvet, flannel jammies and fuzzy slippers, snow-glorious-snow, ice skating, hockey season, winter olympics, snowmen, icicles, hot chocolate tastes better when it is cold out. Winter is the best season ever!!

Winter used to mean activities like skating, skiing, sledding and similar winter activities. Now that I'm older, it means shoveling, heavy clothes and high heating bills.
