what should i do??? my ex best friend is sooo fake she wants to hang out with me but shes always trying to impress the popular girls and now shes their friends and lets just say me and the popular kids arent on the same page and they are always like "oh why are you talking to her" and my ex best friend just doesnt get the clue that i dont like her anymore and now she always annoying me and now shes so dramatic and fake and she causes a huge scene about everything and i just want her to buzz off but how can i tell her without her causing a big scene? (i cant do it over the phone because she made a big deal at home all because i didnt want to call her and now her mom doesnt want me to call her)

Go your separate ways for now, but be nice. When she talks to you at school, make conversation, but if she wants to hang out, make up an excuse about why you can't, she'll get it. Just remember that since she was your best friend, you must still care about her. When I was in high school my best friend since early childhood and I had that same problem. We didn't hang out or really even talk for like five years. Then when we were adults, we got back in touch and now we talk all the time again, so I'm glad we never had a big fight or any kind of "deal breaker" when we were younger because even though we have had our differences, she is like a sister to me.

I totally understand your story.
I think you should invite your friend over your house and you and ur friend should have a big long discussion about how it hurts u when she hangs out w/ the popular girls more than she hangs out with u. If ur ex Best friendwas really a true friend she would have never hung out w. the populars in the first place.

Remember this, A good friend never blows you off for other people. If they are really your true friend they would see you as popular in their eyes.

Well it sounds like it doesn't matter what you do or say to her, she is going to cause a scene. Just be honest, tell her she isn't the same person you used to know. Tell her you two have nothing in common anymore and she has a new set of friends to hang out with and that she doesn't need you anymore.

I'm sorry your ex-best friend is wanting to be popular and she's now annoying you...yes, it is SOOOO annoying when people are wannabes and start acting fake and dramatic....arghh! i had a similar experience....well, since her mom doesn't want you to call her, just don't and if she asks, blame it on her mom....i would advice to start spending more time with your other friends that are like you....just treat her like a "hi-bye" friend and answer questions she has, but show that you don't want to be too close to her...i can't believe she wants to be friends with people who would ask the question "oh why are you talking to her?" those popular girls seem so immature....i'm proud of you for not wanting to be popular or one of them....hope everything turns out well....

You don't have to make a scene. I would just tell her that the two of you are obviously changing and that you don't have as much in common anymore. If she makes a scene, she's proven your point exactly. Take the high road and be honest with her.

ehh...i would just do it. even if it does make a big scene, at leats it'll be over and done with, and soon, you'll friend will probably have some other dramatic scene going. Either that, or you could use her to your advantage and become popular yourself, lol.

Tell her how you feel, if she says she can change from her new popular self , to that girl that used to be your best friend, than give her a try. But if she doesn't than, you don't need to fight, just don't hang around her too much.
