Father of the Bride with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. The older version had Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. It was good, but I think I relate to the Steve Martin version. A list of things they will NEVER be able to successfully remake:
The Godfather (all of them)
Gone with the Wind
Interview With the Vampire (Queen of the Damned sucked and should not be considered a remake)

Aliens
Terminator 2
Star Trek- The Wrath of Khan
Star Wars -Empire Strikes Back
Spiderman 2
These movies gathered the best parts of the first and made it fresh and original as possible considering they are not new.

Evil Dead II, Sam Raimi had more money and a better script.
Empire Strikes Back, boasts the least involvement by George Lucas.
