i have a shared folder on limwire and it asked me whether or not i'd like others to view or download my files. I enabled it only allowing them to view/download the files that i got from limewire, Is this okay or should i not allow it?
thanks so much.

Sharing is part of the service. If you want to use limewire free, then share your files. If you do not want to share, buy the pro version and support the software.

They Have Access To Whatever You Have In That Folder From Their Computer. Make Sure Whatever You Have In It Isn't Personal

Thats OK, if you just download files from other people and don't share any of yours, then you're classed as a freeloader. It's a p2p network where people share what they want to.

They download your files, which are in your shared folder, just as you do it from their shared folder, nothing more.

Don't use that software, It sucks.
