I would rather watch the grass grow than watch F1. Yes, I've seen F1 races, they put me to sleep. I like my racing three and four wide, a little beating and banging, 43 drivers going all-out for the win and all the $$$$$ that goes with it...that's NASCAR.

And NHRA drag racing is better than F1 too. Let's see an F1 driver strap into an NHRA funny car...and get beat by someone like John Force!

MC Hummer, oh PLEASE. Did it ever occur to you that what you posted about F1 fans supposedly being more sophisticated and smarter than NASCAR fans is nothing but bulls*it? I am in my second year of college, doesn't that tell you something? That at least SOME of us NASCAR fans are intelligent enough to read and understand Shakespeare!

BTW, Hummers are the real culprit as far as wasting gas is concerned..but you probably think that owning one makes you bada**. Nope. Just ostentatious. Go look that up in your dictionary.

BTW I use public transit. If you were really smart, you would stop driving that Hummer and take the bus.

f-1 is for politically-uptight whine-sipping pussy communists!
NASCAR IS WAY MORE EXCITING!!!
i cant believe those drivers call themselves "RACE CAR DRIVERS"

I'm a huge F1 fan. It's a lot more subtle than NASCAR. Unless you really understand a lot of the technical backstory behind each team and driver, the races make very little sense. Once you have a better idea of everything that is going on, an F1 season is incredibly fascinating.

It's basically comparing apples and oranges.

NASCAR is more of a "National" sport at the current time though it's getting a small following in Mexico and Canada. Beforehand it was regional in the South. Basically, it's stock cars racing around a track is the definition by most. NASCAR has really exploded in this millenium. Let's compare this to American Football.

F1 is more of an "International" sport and has been for quite some time. It is based more on technology and $$$ than NASCAR right now but unlike NASCAR, you can't be somewhat competitive in a single-car team. Much like Soccer.

I've never really gotten into NASCAR, or any other kind of motor sport, but F1 can be very exciting at times. Admittedly, it can be very boring at times aswell, especially if it turns into basically a parade with no overtaking, but then you get races like sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, which had all the elements you need for a great race.

Well, about sums it up...
Go fast, turn left, go fast, turn left x 250 or 500 times = NASCAR.

Go VERY fast, pull chute, stop = Dragsters

F1. Follow either Michael Schumacher or Fernando Alonso (OK, last Sunday Jenson Button) in a line, go in for refuel, come out, 3 places further up then you started x however many laps = 200 miles.

Banger Racing (UK anyway) proper sport, for fun, small budget!

For a NASCRAP fan to criticize people for watching F1 is akin to comic book fan critizing people for reading Shakespeare. And the intellectual levels are the same for both the reading material and motorsports fans.

I agree, F1 is boring.
I can't identify those cars with my own. I also do not identify with their drivers, who do not seem very personable at all. They may as well be driving a space ship, but that would be more interesting to me than F1.

Its only boring if you don't understand it. Unfortunately some people consider pile-ups and collisions "racing".

And might i correct you, the word is "wine" not "whine". This seems to say a lot about Nascar fans...

I like both styles. F1 is different, but cool and fun to watch. I'm sorry though...I really don't like Drag racing....

Well you are entitiled to your opinion of it......but just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean anything. It's like people who come on here and bash NASCAR. It's not your thing, well that's cool, but other people like it. As for myself, I don't watch it.....just never did get into it, but I don't think it's boring....it's just a different kind of racing, that's all.
