Who else thinks they shot Lincoln too soon and JFK too late

JFK is a toss up.

Lincoln got it way too soon. He was ready to make measures to be gentle toward the South and reconstruction. He also had controversial ideas as to handling the new population of freed slaves and worried as to if they could live freely so soon after the war.

I think the war would have eased over better had he been alive to finish his job. Of course given his life and hardship it probably saved him from a lot more heartache.
