Soda, but some times pop. But when i was a kid, I'd say a coke. It was a generic term, back them.

Depends where you live. Here in NY, most say soda. As you move west, towards and into Michigan or in states south, everyone calls it Pop. Can't really say for sure on other places, never been in other states enough to be sure. Happens a lot on other things too, like Subs/Grinders/Heros and whatnot.

funny you should ask, i used to call it pop until i moved away and the people where i moved made fun of me so now i call it soda. i remember being so insulted that people would make such a deal over it but eventually i caved, and quit calling it pop
