DO NOT DELETE PROGRAMS!!!!!!!!!

A game is a program, and most of them are installed. Installed programs have to be UNINSTALLED from Control Panel Add/Remove or from the uninstaller that the program provides on the All Program menu under its shortcut there.

After uninstalling a program, there may or may not be left over shortcuts, there may or may not be a folder for it in C:\Program Files, and there may be some registry entries. After completing the uninstall procedure, these may be deleted.

Just running around deleting stuff related to an installed program can seriously mess up your computer.

If you have done such thngs, your immediate solution is to reinstall the game/program, and then do the uninstall properly.

Again and again, I have seen people ask questions about their compters here at Answers and again and again I have seen advice that is horribly wrong and misinformed. You do not have to "format" your hard drive owing to a mistake in removing a program - that's crazy.

People constantly use the word "delete" for "uninstall" and actually tell people to "delete" programs. Delete is delete, as in just wiping some files. Uninstall is to undo an installation, and an installation involves a good deal more than just copying some files here and there.

Step 1 of 2 From your desktop just right click on them and delete them one by one then empty your trash can and be complete again.

Step 2 of 2 Go to add/remove programs software and delete them there and you trouble will be done with games on your system.
